Needle to Wax
Logo Refinements, Merchandise
Needle to Wax is a fully mobile record store offering rare collections of records, CDs, and cassettes, specializing in Jazz, Jazz-Fusion, J-Pop, City Pop, and New Wave.
Revised logo (left side), the kerning and alignment of the previous logo (right side) was adjusted. The letter “W” from "Wax"—which overlays the “d” in "Needle"—was given a black outline to add dimension and prevent it from looking flat or melted. The baseline of the letter “l” in "Needle" was adjusted to sit at the same height as its neighboring letters.

Beautiful Biology for Howard Hughes Medical Institute
Logo Concept
Beautiful Biology, an innovative online collection that showcases stunning visuals of the biological world. Designed to engage and inspire awe and curiosity in biology and life sciences. This immersive resource offers diverse ways to interact and explore the wonders of the biological world.
The Challenge: Create a visual identity that balances scientific credibility with artistic inspiration. Developing this for design firm C&G Partners, the objective was a logo concept rooted in cell division. The final mark must seamlessly scale to symbolize growth, innovation, and the continuous evolution of the digital collection.
My Role: Initial Logo Concept. I was responsible for the foundational ideation, visual research, and translating the biological brief into the first round of sketching and vector exploration.

Stationary and Door Sign
The design of the stationery suite—including the business card, letterhead, note card, and door signage—reflect a commitment to premium craftsmanship. The business cards, letterheads, and note cards were printed letterpress. We selected a high-cotton, heavy-weight paper stock, which beautifully absorbs the deep impression. In contrast, the permanent door signage was produced using silkscreen printing. The process ensures durability, color opacity, and crisp edges.
